Obedience - Level 1 (Age: 3 months and over)

This basic level training class will focus on the essentials of positive reinforcement training while your dog learns basic obedience cues: focus, sit, stand, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking. You will also learn solutions to common behavior challenges: house training, crate training, digging, barking, nipping, chewing, and jumping. 

A virtual option is available for this class.  The virtual option allows you to learn and train with your dog without attending a live in person class.  If you select this option, you will receive written documentation and video lectures each week.  The video lectures are pre-recorded, so you can watch them on your schedule, anytime during the week. You can submit videos of your homework assignments and written questions about the class material.  You will receive feedback on both your video assignments and written questions. Please select the "Virtual" option for the Class Location when registering for the class.  To participate in the virtual option you need to be able to send and receive email, watch videos via YouTube, record videos, and submit videos for review.

* Multi-session classes are held once a week for one hour.

Obedience - Level 2 (Age: 6 months and over)

This intermediate level training class will refine the skills and good behaviors learned in Obedience - Level 1 and take them to the next level. Additional obedience cues covered include: stays and recalls with distance, duration, and distraction challenges, target/touch, drop it, take it, and leave it. Behavior challenges specific to your pet will be addressed.

Obedience - Tricks, Tricks, and More Tricks (Age: 6 months and over)

Looking for a fun way to spice up your current training routine and improve communication with your dog?  Trick training is a great way to do just that.  This is also a great class for therapy dogs, providing plenty of new cues to show off during your therapy outings. Cues covered include: shake, roll-over, dance, spin, twirl, crawl, play dead, and any other tricks you wish to teach your pooch.
